Veronica Slater presents - Live better. Mieux vivre. Vivir mejor.
Life has taken me from my native Buenos Aires, to Montréal in la belle Province, to the wonderful place I now call home:Toronto.  Diversity is my language expressed variously in English, French and Spanish – sometimes consecutively, often in a curious and crazy mélange à trois. My three cultures shape and colour my life, so any given day will start with a cup of mate cocido, followed by a mid-morning café au lait, I’ll tape a radio broadcast en français, write a blog post in English, help my youngest daughter with her dictée, then have dinner à deux with my English-speaking husband. And it’s nada for me. Simply 'Normal', ironically being one of those words that remain identical in my three languages.

After spending a thoroughly fulfilling 10 years as an elementary French Immersion teacher while juggling the demands of three young children (now we have 4), I decided to follow my passion for finding and wrapping the perfect gift, decorating the perfect room and building the perfect wardrobe by launching a personal shopping service for a select group of private clients.

Alas, my journey continues and through my blog Veronica Slater presents, I have introduced a growing (and quite lovely) audience to my crazy – yet practical – Latina way of coping with family life, and finding joy in the every day. Through my blog, speaking engagements, as a regular lifestyle contributor to le ‘Boréal Express', CBC/Radio-Canada chaîne première, and now as a TV contributor to the show 'RelieF' airing on TFO, I’m sharing my tips and tricks on everything from celebrating special occasions to tracking the latest trends and products to my vintage purse collection, and just about everything in between. I also have a real passion and appreciation for the many talents and business in the Roncesvalles Village, the place I call home.

In the end, it simply comes down to finding ways to live better.  Mieux vivre.  Vivir mejor.
